Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay Brodie was born in Ogden Utah on September 15 1915. Fawn MacKay, who was a member of the Mormon Church's first family, utilised her amazing writing skills as well as her impressive abilities to research in order to produce the psycho-historical biographies of Joseph Smith. The book called No Man has a clue about My History was published in 1945. That title was taken from a funeral sermon given by the founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844, when he shocked the congregation with his words"You don't even know me." I never told you about my heart. Nobody knows my past. I can't tell. Fawn (29 year old) wrote that she has been honest since the moment she made her statement the three hundred and thirty writers have stood up to the event. Some have attempted to establish a medical diagnosis. Documents are not lacking and contradictory. This is the task--sifting out the firsthand evidence from the third-party plagiarism and fitting Mormon-and non-Mormon-narratives into a cohesive mosaic of reliable history. I find it both fascinating as well as eye-opening. It's a task which Fawn Brodie put her professional energy into. Her work in research and writing made her famous all over the world: Thaddeus Stephens. The Devil Drives (1959) Scourge Of The South Thomas Jefferson. An intimate Historical Document (1974) as well as posthumously Richard Nixon.
