Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian and TV personality best known as the anchor for The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime television. She was raised by Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl was raised by a difficult family. She spent most her childhood caring for her younger sibling Frankie. Frankie was a patient of polio. She faced a lot of problems with her mother as she was growing up. Sheryl claims that for instance she was stabbed by her mother's father after he became close to her. Sheryl was a soldier after she graduated from university. Her passion for the military was comedy. In 1989, she was the first woman to reach the top in the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. Her TV career began in 1992 when she was a guest actor on the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. She appeared as host of Oh Drama! as the host in the year 2000. Then in 2011, she started participating as a co-host on The Talk as co-host. In addition, she has a fictional role in shows like Bulworth and Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
